The Artist has done some really bang-up work, including this representation, in the style of Manet, of Mavis Gallant having a picnic with Dirk Bogarde and Rock Hudson. I mean - doesn’t look like Mavis at all, but let’s allow for the possibility that maybe hair and makeup went to town.
